Century 21 Westcountry join the fight against Cancer in 2008. We were approached by the Relay For Life Committee who was trying to establish Relay For Life in Rocky Mountain House. As a company we have always tried to give back to the community , several members of our team have been affected by Cancer, so this was a perfect charity to donate our time and money to. We joined the Relay for Life as a corporate sponsor and felt donating money wasn’t enough and decided to enter a team as well.
Our support to Relay For Life has brought us closer as a team. We all have a common cause that we are trying to rally together for. We have participated in BBQ’s, garage sales, donated a portion of our commissions and collected donations from people in our community. Every year we host a water hole for all participants & in 2009 we had the privalage of carrying the Relay For Life flag on the final lap.
Not only has Relay For Life brought or team together we have never participate in Charity that has brought a whole community together as Relay For Life has done for Rocky Mountain House. Relay for Life has given our community so much and we can only hope to give back in return and make a difference.
Relay For Life will be hosting their kick off event on April 17, 2010 at the Rocky Mountain House Youth Hall. There will be a BBQ, garage sale and other activities going on. The event runs 10:00am - 2:00 pm with proceeds going to The Relay For Life. Come down and join the fun.
