Understanding the Purchase Process - Step 4

- All conditions have been met and your purchase is firm… our office will forward all closing documents to the lawyer of your choice
- Your lawyer of choice will contact you about a week before possession date to book an appointment to sign paper work . Ask your lawyer what he needs you to bring with you to this appointment.
- Now is a good time to make an appointment with your home insurance provider and obtain home insurance for your new property.
- Your real estate agent will arrange for you to do a walk through of the property to ensure that it is in the same condition as when you signed your purchase contract.
- Century 21 Westcountry Realty Ltd. Offers you use of our complimentary moving trailer, to make your move a little easier.

EXPECTED CLOSING COSTS & MOVING DAY

Lawyer fees — this fee can vary, ensure you speak with your lawyer regarding expected closing costs
Home insurance
Set up of utilities—some companies require deposits
Title Insurance/RPR—depending on the contract this may be your expense
Taxes—Depending on possession date you may receive a tax credit or owe the seller an adjustment. Keep in mind depending on possession your tax account may be short money to pay

1 Day before possession
—If you have reserved Century 21 Westcountry Realty’s trailer, the client service centre will contact you regarding pick—up
On possession day - your Realtor will contact you once keys are releasable.
